Jan is a highly rated consultant, speaker and author who has been active in the field of Information Management and Relational Database Management since 1986. He has presented, moderated and taught workshops at many international conferences and User Group meetings worldwide. Jan’s experiences, combined with information architecture and management expertise, have enabled him to help many organisations to optimise the business value of their information assets. He has a vision for innovation and ability to translate visions into strategy. A verifiable track record in diverse industries including non-profit, retail, financial, sales, energy, public entities. Contributed to better streamlined and higher yielding operations for some of the leading businesses through a combination of creativity, technical skills, initiative and strong leaderships. He has published articles in many leading industry journals, and has been elected to the IDUG Speakers Hall of Fame, based upon numerous Best Speaker awards.
Jan is currently elected into the DAMA International Board of directors and serves as Presidents Council Liaison.
Patrick is a Cobit 5.0 , TOGAF 9 , ArchiMate 3.0, and SFIA certified enterprise architect. He has a master in Business Engineering at the university of Leuven KUL and he also graduated in Insurance sciences. In 2009 he was awarded and nominated as a Fellow of the KU Leuven (fellow van het Hogenheuvelcollege). He has more than 25 years experience in the different domains of enterprise architecture especially in financial institutions, retail, government. His focus is on Enterprise Information Architecture and Governance and highly involved in exchanging experience between Information Management professionals. As such, Patrick is founding member and director of the Data Management Association Belgium Luxemburg and responsible for finance. After 23 years as Enterprise Information Architect in KBC Banking and Insurance he is now exchanging expertise as a consultant delivering Enterprise Information Architecture services in Europe and Middle East. He is actively promoting ArchiMate as the Enterprise Architecture Language for model driven strategic change management.
