Jan is currently elected into the DAMA International Board of directors and serves as Presidents Council Liaison.
Serge has more than 10 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, mainly in the domain of Data/Information Architecture and Governance, Marketing and Sales, and Corporate Insurance.
Besides a TOGAF Certification, he successfully completed the “Mastering Enterprise Architecture” Master after Master program at the UAMS Antwerp in 2009. As dissertation he wrote: “ Master Data Management in Decentralized IT environments”, describing multiple aspects of Master Data Management (MDM), such as the Business Architectural aspects and the IT related aspects. A special focus was on the governance of data & information. In the dissertation he developed a governance framework to measure and improve Master Data Management within the organization.
The last years he was part of programs around MDM, Big Data & Data Governance to help evolving the company towards a Data Driven Company.
Patrick is a Cobit 5.0 , TOGAF 9 , ArchiMate 3.0, and SFIA certified enterprise architect. He has a master in Business Engineering at the university of Leuven KUL and he also graduated in Insurance sciences. In 2009 he was awarded and nominated as a Fellow of the KU Leuven (fellow van het Hogenheuvelcollege). He has more than 25 years experience in the different domains of enterprise architecture especially in financial institutions, retail, government. His focus is on Enterprise Information Architecture and Governance and highly involved in exchanging experience between Information Management professionals. As such, Patrick is founding member and director of the Data Management Association Belgium Luxemburg (www.dama-belux.org) and responsible for finance. After 23 years as Enterprise Information Architect in KBC Banking and Insurance he is now exchanging expertise as a consultant delivering Enterprise Information Architecture services in Europe and Middle East. He is actively promoting ArchiMate as the Enterprise Architecture Language for model driven strategic change management.
